Seems like hyundai has started somthing here. I wouldnt be at all surprized if all engines start getting turbo'd in order to improve fuel efficiency and performance. A turbo v6 would rock

Re: Tucson Turbo????
I picked up a 2012 2.4L Tuscon Limited nav a couple days ago. My wife was currently driving an 05 2.7L Tuscon LX, which will go to my son. She couldn't be talked into the Kia turbo...lord knows I tried. She is also not really interested in more power, as long as she can pass when needed and it gets good mileage. She took it on a trip across country, and it has been in Eco since she drove it home from the dealer.
If it were mine, I would have probably bought the Kia turbo AWD...I definitely think they would draw more of the guys that need a small suv, but also want the power/handling of a sports sedan.

Re: Tucson Turbo????
I had an '06 Tuscon (traded it for the Sonata) with the old 2.0. Merging onto the interstate or trying to pass at speeds above 70mph was a chore. I really like the looks of the new Tuscon, but not offering a turbo was a major letdown.

Re: Tucson Turbo????
new 2.4L in the new Tuscon with the theta engine/variable valve has more power down low and pulls quite a bit harder at the top of the power band...this is compared to the 2.7L in our 05 Tuscon. It's definitely fun to drive (even with a car load of people/luggage), but isn't a turbo either.
