Turbolager: How much did that kit cost you? I had HID on my Acura and when one igniter went out, it cost me $500 (dealer)...big shock.

The kit was $240 with free shipping...its a realy nice kit...All of the kit is made in germany...really good stuff. Plug and play..no stupid long harness to install. short and sweet direct fit....and a really good warrenty and good customer service
Yea, its hit and miss with the low cost ebay hid kits, ive had 4 of those cheap hid's and they always went out on me...im not talkin bad about yours, but all of the ebay kits have done me wrong.

Re: Genuine Philips HID KIT INSTALLED!!!
My eBay HID's seem to flicker quite a bit...
any tips on why? I've tried checking all the connections, making sure they are pushed in all the way, etc. and I don't find anything wrong.
Any suggestions?

You have a bad HID kit, that’s why I went with Phillips.. It sounds like the amp inside the ballast is sending the power in pulses and not straight voltage...
You need to get another set or have that set replaced..

Re: Genuine Philips HID KIT INSTALLED!!!
So, apparently the company sent me 35W ballasts, which is apparently incorrect. Before I got off the phone with them today regarding a constant flickering issue, they already e-mailed me a new tracking number for the replacement ballasts, grommets that were missing, and return labels to mail back the ballasts.
I think once I get the correct ballasts, the color of my HID's will change, because for 6000k they look very GREEN. It looks cool, but it wasn't what I was looking for.
Here's some pics:

Since this is an old thready I'm guessing Yoshi fixed this by now, but as it's resurfaced... Common reason for flicker is not using relays. Plug & play only works when your car is built for HIDs.
